The Golden Temple was built in a short span of 7 years. It was inaugurated on August 24, 2007. The Golden Temple is situated in a 100 acre lush green landscape in the middle of a Star-shaped path. The walls of the pathway have inscriptions of teachings of Sakthi amma, Gita, Bible, Quran and the Guru Granth Sahib. All parts of the main temple are covered completely in gold. The temple has nine to fifteen manually prepared layers of gold foil.

     More than 400 gold and coppersmiths from the Tirupathi Thirumala Devasthanam are said to have worked for six years to craft the Rs. 600-crore golden temple located on 55,000 sq ft of land on a 100-acre salubrious stretch in Malaikodi, about 6 km from Vellore in north Tamil Nadu.

     The landscape of Sripuram is completely natural, created and managed using organic manure; one feels closest to one's true self in this serene ambience. Waters from all the major rivers of the country were brought to create the Ecopond - 'Sarvatheertham'. The creation of this pond has resulted in a wonderful ecosystem for birds and insects, complemented by over 20,000 saplings of various species.

     The Sri Narayani Peetam is headed by a young god man who calls himself Narayani Amma. Sri Sakthi Amma was born on the third of January, 1976, to Shri. Nanda Gopal and Smt. Jyothiamma. It was evident from birth that this baby was divine and very special. A distinct, divine ray of light (Namam) on the baby’s forehead was vividly visible, along with symbols of Chakra (wheel) and Shanka (conch) on either side of the chest. From a very early age, the child began showing great interest in spiritual life. The child demonstrated profound interest only in spiritual life, participated blissfully in Pujas/Bhajans (religious ceremonies), and insisted on visiting places of worship on a daily basis. On many occasions, the child would be absent from school and would be found in temples or at other places where religious activities were being conducted. It was thus an established fact from the very early age of Sri Sakthi Amma that a spiritual life was in store for the child.

     This temple is located at Thirumalaikodi; Katpadi is the nearest Railway station in the Chennai-Bangalore route of Southern Railway. It takes about 3 and half hours drive from Chennai, in the Chennai - Bangalore road. It is in the National Highways NH46 that connects Chennai - Bangalore (Bangaluru) and in NH4 from Ranipet to Bangalore. From Katpadi, one can reach by state owned bus to Sripuram which takes about 15 minutes drive or less. Or, one can reach Thirumalaikodi by bus from Vellore to Anicut / Odugathur route. The State run buses ply via Thirumalaikodi in this route. From Tirupati (Tirupathi) to Katpadi, there are shuttle train services available upto Katpadi or Jolarpettai (Jolarpet Passenger) or one can travel by train from Tirupathi (Tirupati) by Kanyakumari Express from Tirupati to Katpadi which takes less than 3 hours journey. Direct bus services available from all major points to Vellore. Vellore is well connected by road with all the southern states viz. Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala & Pondicherry.

     Devotees are requested to dress appropriately and avoid Short pants, Nighties, Lungies, Midi, and Bermudas.
